Welcome to the Manuscript Submission Portal of Hoofddorp Research Center. This portal is designed to streamline the manuscript submission process for authors, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience from submission to publication. Below, you’ll find the necessary steps to submit your manuscript, along with important guidelines for a successful submission.

1. Create an Account

Before submitting your manuscript, you must create an account on the Hoofddorp Research Center platform. If you already have an account, simply log in. If not, follow these steps:

  1. Register: Click on the "Register" button and fill out the registration form with your name, email address, and institutional affiliation.

  2. Activate Account: Once registered, you will receive an email with a verification link to activate your account.

Once your account is activated, you’ll have access to the submission portal and the ability to track your manuscript throughout the review process.

2. Manuscript Submission

To submit your manuscript, follow these steps:

  1. Log In: Enter your credentials to log into your account.

  2. Select Journal: Choose the appropriate journal for your submission from the available options. Ensure your manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and aims.

  3. Upload Manuscript: Upload your manuscript file in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format, following the Author Guidelines for proper formatting. Be sure to include all necessary components, including the title page, abstract, keywords, main content, and references.

  4. Provide Metadata: Fill out the submission metadata, including the manuscript title, abstract, keywords, author details, and any supplementary material (e.g., tables, figures, supplementary data).

  5. Confirm Submission: Review your submission details to ensure accuracy. Once you confirm, click the "Submit" button to finalize your manuscript submission.

3. Review and Tracking

Once your manuscript is submitted, it will undergo an initial screening by the editorial team. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your manuscript.

  • Peer Review: Your manuscript will be assigned to expert reviewers in your field, who will evaluate it based on quality, relevance, and originality.

  • Decision Updates: You can track the status of your manuscript throughout the review process via your account dashboard. Updates on the decision (e.g., revise and resubmit, accepted, or rejected) will be communicated directly through the portal.

  • Revision Process: If your manuscript requires revisions, you will be notified through the portal. Please submit your revised manuscript with a detailed response to reviewers' comments.

4. Ethical and Legal Compliance

By submitting your manuscript, you confirm that:

  • The work is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • All authors have been properly acknowledged, and conflicts of interest have been disclosed.

  • The manuscript complies with our ethical guidelines regarding research involving human or animal subjects, and copyright laws are respected.

Additionally, please ensure that the manuscript adheres to the plagiarism-free policy. Any violations of these terms may result in immediate rejection or retraction of your submission.

5. Payment of Publication Fees

If your manuscript is accepted for publication, you will be notified about the publication fees (if applicable). Payment can be made via the secure payment gateway in your account dashboard.

  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit card, bank transfer, and other secure online methods.
